We're bringing in the Lunar New Year with a special 'Family Reunion Dinner'! It's the evening when your family rounds out the year together by sharing a delicious meal.

On the episode, Adam Liaw makes an adorable 'Year of the Horse Yee Sang', or sashimi fish salad shaped like a horse.

Brendan Pang (who you might recognise from the 2018 and 2020 seasons of Masterchef Australia) makes Mauritian fried noodles. Having tasted it on the set, I really hope you all make this dish and get to experience the wok flavours yourself!

And of course you will get to see the dish I'm making, Chinese sweet potato doughnuts. This is one of my favourite New Year foods and having looked online, there were barely any recipes for this dessert. So I am very proud to release this family recipe to the world - mostly so I, selfishly, have a link to it whenever I want to make these doughnuts.

The episode airs Monday 16 February at 7pm AEDT on SBS Food, or stream it free on SBS On Demand.
