My latest article for ABC Long Reads

I made a visit to Coleraine, a tiny town in Victoria, to learn more about my grandfather's shop and how we ended up in Australia.

I spent most of last year working on this piece which you can read now. It spans topics such as genealogy, history and searching for 'the truth'.

Featured in the article is comedian Aidan Jones, who spoke to me about connecting with his birth father in his 20s, and how his search for closure affected him.

l also spoke to journalist Jason Om, who discovered he had a half-sister, who he now shares a close bond with. Jason has written about his story in his book, 'All Mixed Up'.
