The reviews are in! 'Gold' is a smash hit with audiences having opened at the Chinese Museum for Melbourne International Comedy Festival.

It received four stars in The Age, who said the show 'is a confident debut of new material, delivered with a wry smile and morbid humour'.

Independent publication Lilithia Reviews gave it four-and-a-half stars, saying 'Louey is relentless with a rapid fire of jokes throughout her 50-minute run-time.'

The goal this year was to write a solid 'gold' hour of stand-up and I'm so happy to have achieved what I set out to do. I haven't done a proper stand-up show since my first solo performance in 2017 – and even then, I couldn't help but include a hola-hooping routine at the start of the show!

Tickets are still available for Melbourne until Sunday 23 April.

After that, 'Gold' will be heading to Sydney for 18-19 May. Tickets are on sale now.
