Fundraising for KIDS at Noosa Tri

Let the fundraising begin! This year I'm taking part in the Noosa Triathlon for the first time ever, in a relay team with my younger sister Anna (avid marathon runner) and Monica (open water swimmer - even in the depths of winter 🤯). We have set ourselves a lofty goal to raise $3000, or $1000 each, in total. You can contribute to the tally by visiting our page. We named our team 'FWW', an acronym for 'Fast, Wet and Windy'. You can find out why in this Instagram post on my profile.
The goal to take part in the tri has been over a year in the making, as I had wanted an excuse to get back into cycling and exercise in general.
The KIDS Foundation is close to my heart, as I discovered the charity in 2016, a few years after suffering burns in a campfire accident. The Foundation supports burns and trauma survivors, and people with rare genetic conditions, along with their families.
After attending my first camp, KIDS CEO Susie O'Neill asked me to become an official Ambassador, which I was delighted to accept.
A few years later in 2019, I signed up to fundraise with them for the first time. I joined a group cycling 500km in five days, from Byron Bay, NSW to Noosa, Queensland.
I had no idea what I was doing back then and had to learn almost everything about the sport from scratch.
The comraderie on the ride itself was incredible and I can't wait to experience that feeling again this year with the triathlon.

If you can spare a dollar, please consider donating to our team!
