On Saturday, the 2023 Antenna Awards showcased the best of Australia's community television. There were 25 categories in total, three of which I judged as part of the assessment panel this year.

The event was hosted by fellow comedian Lizzy Hoo, who I was lucky enough to present the first award of the night with. 'Most Outstanding Non-Factual Program' was awarded to another comedian, Maddy Weeks, and their show 'Wait... We're Live?' which is filmed at RMIT.

It was great to see Monash University, where I graduated from, was nominated for multiple awards with their journalism and music programs.

Last year, I hosted the debut series 'By Popular Demand' featuring final year popular music students. I was thrilled to see student Sam Murphy win Youth Personality of the Year for being a correspondent on the show.

Check out some of the award-winning programs at CTV Plus, the streaming platform for community TV in Aus.
